The award was presented by Rear Admiral Kevin F. Delaney (ret.) to Mr. Smith at a taping of a 30-minute episode of the television series, Heartbeat of America, hosted by William Shatner at their studios in Los Angeles.

Mr. Smith’s company, The Genimation Group, is a national marketing consulting firm based in Colorado Springs, Colorado that specializes in building unique and innovative predictable marketing plans using his proprietary development process – Genimation. He has consulted in over 165 different industries realizing over 1.2 billion dollars in new revenues for small and mid tier businesses. It is because of the phenomenal growth from companies using Mr. Smith’s Genimation process that he received this prestigious award.

The Heartbeat of America’s Keeping America Strong Award was created to honor and generate public recognition of the efforts, accomplishments and positive contributions of companies and business people working to strengthen America and American economic growth following the events of September 11, 2001.
